Here is a list of the dates for the 2026 new moons plus additional details on the energy for each new moon in 2026. I have also listed some tips on crafting a new moon cleansing ritual and tuning into the energy inherent in each 2026 New Moon to get the most of your lunar month.

I love to utilise the energy of the new moon to cleanse my house for a fresh start each lunar month.
New Moon Cleansing Ritual:
Use a small cauldron or heatproof ceramic dish. Add sand to the base and place a lit charcoal disc on top. Light the disc carefully with tongs over an open flame.
Add dried herbs or resin on top of the charcoal disc.
I recommend frankincense or myrhh resins and for dried herbs I love to use a blend of rosemary, juniper and cinnamon.Open a few of your doors and windows for adequate ventilation. Starting at your front door, walk with the smoking cauldron/dish throughout your home in a clockwise direction.
I love to draw a protective sigil or pentagram with the smoke over the beds, and entrance doors.
Once the house is done, you can leave the cauldron on a heatproof surface in the centre of the home. Usually on the kitchen table. You may need to add more resin/herbs after the others have burned through.
If you wish to perform a New Moon Ritual I suggest doing so within the 12 hours AFTER the New Moon hits exact in your time zone to take the best advantage of it’s fresh and growing energy.

Remember - it’s best to complete your NEW MOON RITUAL within 12 hours AFTER the new moon is exact in your time zone for maximum effect. Personally I love lighting a white or silver candle as I do my ritual and grounding myself before I begin.
