You’d be surprised how many clients I see who don’t have a welcome email automatically going out after someone joins their program! When I ask why, I usually get one of two answers: either they didn’t know they needed one, or they’re just not sure what to put in it.
Here’s what I usually recommend to make it really solid:
Remind them why they signed up: Reinforce their excitement by summarizing the key reasons they joined (pull these from your sales page!). This simple reminder helps them feel confident they made the right choice.
Help them log in smoothly: Provide a direct link to the login page or instructions on where to find the login button on your homepage. Mention where they can reset their password, too—even if they don’t need it now, it’s helpful to have in that first email if they get stuck later.
Ask them to add your email to their contacts: This helps ensure important updates don’t end up in spam. For an extra boost, invite them to reply to the email—either to tell you what they’re looking forward to most or just to confirm they got in okay.
