Podcasts you NEED to listen to

Suburban Witchery’s Podcast Recommendations

My main psychic sense is Clairaudience (clear hearing) so it makes sense that I learn best through listening (and reading). This means I listen to A LOT of podcasts, and to increase my listening capacity, I listen to them all at 1.5 speed!

If you too are a lover of podcasts, BOY, do I have a list for you!
Now, I never recommend a resource or in this case, podcast, without first having listened to numerous episodes to make sure I’m comfortable recommending it to others and especially to baby witches. There are a few out there that I’m sure could be added to this list, but they either didn’t ‘grab’ me or I didn’t gel with their beliefs and ideas. This list has been created in April 2020 (last edited Dec 2021) and I’m sure I will grow and edit this list with time. If you like me, and my content, you will most likely enjoy these podcasts in your ears too!

I have separated them into genres because my followers have a wide array of interests and reasons for following me, so you may be into Tarot and not care for Astrology, therefore you can look straight to the Tarot section of my list.

If there are any that I haven’t listed, I encourage you to comment them below so I can give them a listen too!

Witchy

Witch Talks - A Suburban Witchery Podcast

Of course I have to start with a shameless plug of my own podcast. Listen as we get up close and personal with your favourite witches from around the world. Each guest shares their wisdom on a specific topic and I ensure that each episode leaves you with an actionable step to take in learning more, or developing that skill if you wish. Examples of recent episodes are animal communication with Tricia Carr, the Horned God with Jason Mankey and Pagan Funeral Rites with Mortellus.

The Witch Wave with Pam Grossman

My God, I CANNOT recommend this podcast enough. Pam Grossman is one of my Witch idols! She is a wordsmith and listening will literally put a spell on you. She is powerful, intelligent and makes the mundane seem so incredibly spiritual. Her podcast interviews ‘Witches’ of all kinds, and she really hones down on the fact that magic is found everywhere, and anyone can be a Witch. She promotes the archetype of the wise, wild woman and I look up to and admire every word that leaves her mouth. A fantastic listen, and a great way to expand your mind when it comes to what it is that makes a witch.

Magick and Mediums with Anielle Reid

Magick and Mediums with Anielle Reid

Devin is a male Witch, and provides a much-needed gender balance to the often female dominated scene of Witchery. Devin is a well-known author of Witchcraft books such as Modern Witch and The Witch’s Book of Power (which I’m yet to read but have a feeling I’ll enjoy). His episodes and guests provide diverse commentary on witchcraft and witchy pop culture alike. It’s a slightly more serious toned podcast (IMO) and he provides a very professional vibe.

The Fat Feminist Witch Podcast with Paige

This is a newer podcast (to me) and I haven’t had a chance to listen to many episodes, but it is worth a mention purely for Episode 5, The Wiccan History Lesson. If you’re wanting an easy to understand, no nonsense and accurate modern witch lesson then this is the episode you need. So far, the earlier episodes have a good vibe and I’m excited to see where the rest will take me.

Invoking Witchcraft

Hosts Britton and J. Allen Cross chat folk magic and witchcraft, talking the hot topics and spilling the tea. The episodes are informative and they both have a wealth of knowledge to draw on. A great listen for those wanting to learn more.

Tarot

Tarot Bytes Podcast with Theresa Reed the Tarot Lady

Theresa Reed is a Tarot icon. I love her down to earth way of explaining the cards and she literally goes through every single card in the deck and takes you through her interpretation and what others have to say about the card. Excellent for those starting out in learning Tarot as well as seasoned readers who may need a refresher, or new opinion every now and then. The episodes are really short so it’s super easy to listen to them quickly, I pop one on every time I do my make up and it’s finished by the time I’m done – so easy!

The Biddy Tarot Podcast with Brigit Esselmont

Great for aspiring tarot readers, those who want to learn for themselves and to read professionally. There is A LOT of content here. Brigit has a practical manner of explaining the cards and makes it seem really easy. The only downfall is the heavy promotion of her courses.

Tarot Visions with Rose & Jaymi

This was the first Tarot podcast I ever listened to, before I even knew they were a thing. Somehow this ended up on my phone before I had even purchased my first deck, so I had NO idea what they were talking about, but I really enjoyed it! It’s a lot more laid back, and just throws in a different vibe to the other more ‘commercial’ style podcasts.

Crystals

Crystal Healing Podcast – Love & Light Live with Ashley Leavy

Ok – I’ll be honest, there is only one crystal themed podcast I’m willing to recommend because it’s the only one you’ll ever need. Ashley is the crystal QUEEN and has written numerous books on crystals. Her website is also a great source for crystal meanings. Her sweet demeanour and easy to understand manner will make you obsessed with everything crystal!

New Age/Psychic

Charmed Life with Tricia Carr

Tricia is an intuitive and an animal communicator and she brings a really positive, light and airy vibe to her podcast. It’s interesting to listen to her view on the world and she makes the psychic side of life seem uplifting and wholesome, definitely no scary vibes here. I recently had Tricia on my podcast (ep 9) and she had me on hers! (ep 247).

Intuitive Souls Podcast with Erica Russo

Erica recently interviewed me on her podcast, so you know it’s good! We chatted about how to survive mercury retrograde and is a great one to save as mercury goes retrograde 3-4 times a year!
Erica broaches all sorts of topics from self-healing, astral travel and mediumship. Sometimes she has guest interviews and sometimes the episodes are Erica alone, it’s a great mix and she does an excellent job of tackling each topic.

The Lightworkers Lab Podcast with Crystal Anne Compton

If there’s anything that makes me mad, it’s when a great thing gets cancelled. The OA, a TV show on Netflix is one of those things, the Lightworkers Lab Podcast is another. Crystal only released 24 episodes, and they’re about 2 years old now but BOY are they good. I’ve actually re-listened to a lot of them. She didn’t give an explanation for stopping, but going by her profusely growing YouTube channel I’m guessing time was a major factor. So I highly recommend listening, and if you really love it as much as I do, check out her YouTube content too.
Crystal is a medium and is not afraid to talk about aliens, interdimensional beings, angels, thought forms and more. She was also raised as a Pentecostal Christian, which you can totally hear in the way she speaks. It reminds me of my childhood, but way more interesting and empowering.

Spirit Guides Radio with Arizona Bell

This is another live radio show that is uploaded as podcast episodes. The sound quality isn’t amazing, but it is worth pushing past that to hear what they have to say. The majority of the episodes are with Arizona Bell and Camber Wilson and these girls are great to listen to. They chat amongst themselves and also interview all sorts of guests on the show too. It’s all spiritual, psychic and medium style topics with some live readings thrown in the mix every now and then.

Astrology

The Cosmic Calling Podcast with Natalie Walstein from Soulshine Astrology

This is the girl who got me into Astrology, for real! She is a goddess of cosmic knowledge and I cannot spread enough love about her and her podcast. She talks all about running your own spiritual business, deciphering your own natal chart, what the stars are doing to us all as a collective and much more. Natalie also sells an astrology course which is where I learnt to do what I do! If you’re a budding astrologer I highly recommend this podcast and her course to you. Natalie makes all these cosmic energies very easy to understand and interpret on a practical level.

The Astrology Podcast with Chris Brennan

If you’re new to astrology this is NOT for you. Chris is a very seasoned astrologer and the topics covered here are quite in depth. Chris uses Hellenistic astrology (different to the Placidus system that I use and taught by Natalie Walstein) and he gets into complex transits, historical astrology, significations and house divisions. It’s very interesting stuff, and it’s part of how I progress my own learning, but not aimed at the beginner astrologer.

Supernatural

Southern Spirits Podcast

Wanting a bit of fun? Leah & Mitch are a couple that talk all sorts of weird happenings from the southern US states. It’s light-hearted, they play on the name and drink some southern spirits as well as chatting ghosts and aliens!

Two Girls One Ghost with Corinne and Sabrina

Gosh these girls are great, the stories are intriguing but the listener stories are the BEST part of this podcast. Be prepared to get really spooked and if you were raised Christian, watch out for episode 12 (Dominus) as it’s a DEMON DOOZY! I think I slept with the light on after that!

And That’s Why We Drink with Christine & Em

A mix of True Crime and Supernatural, their listener episodes tend toward the supernatural only though. These two are great for when you need to laugh at how insanely scary our world can sometimes be.

Hillbilly Horror Stories with Jerry & Tracy

Literally hundreds of episodes worth of ghost stories, thoroughly researched too! This is the podcast where I first heard about Alistair Crowley! They also do some great chats about the music industry in the occult which is FASCINATING.

There you have it, my list of lovely people for your ears. Don’t forget the podcasts are often a labour of love and if you can leave a rating and review for your favourite podcast that always helps a lot!

Pop a comment below if there is another one that you believe needs to be on this list and happy listening!

Until next time,

Brightest blessings.
